Have you ever seen a Ferrari 250 GTO on road?

The mighty Ferrari 250 GTO can be seen unloaded from the truck, than driving on the public streets of Paris. Just in case you didn’t know, the Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the most iconic cars in the world, and its value/price is known to be very high among collectors: nowadays they’re worth around 25 million euros, give or take. So seeing one driving on public roads is a very exclusive and rare sight!

About the sound: it was VERY windy that day. I do have an anti-wind system built-in in my video camera, but it just wasn’t enough to counterbalance the powerful wind. So that explains it! Anyways, hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed seeing this beauty in the flesh! :)

Cars & Coffee Paris – April 2012

Sunday april 16th was awesome.

It was sunny, and Cars & Coffee day, organized by EAP! Lots of great cars came to have a good time around a nice cup of coffee! This cars & coffeewas specially dedicated to « british cars », and my friend Shmee150 made the trip from London to Paris over the week-end with his magnificent glacial blue Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster! Many other british brands were present: Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lotus, Caterham, Aston Martin…
The highlights of the show were the following: Ferrari F50, Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador, Lamborghini Bicolore, Rolls Royce Phantom, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin Vanquish, Ferrari 458, 430 scuderia, 599 GTB, Lotus Elise, Lotus Exige, Caterham, Ariel Atom … and many many more! Countless cars to be named!

Sorry if I didn’t show ALL the cars present, or if I missed some, I just can’t be everywhere lol! As usual, there were so many people that I couldn’t get as much footage as I would’ve liked! This edition was yet again a GREAT success! :)

Bugatti Veyron l’OR BLANC

This might be one of my greatest spots, along the Ferrari Enzo MIG-U1! This is the UNIQUE Bugatti Veyron L’or Blanc (it’s a GrandSport). I saw it tonight in Paris, and it has plates from the kingdom of saudi arabia.

The Bugati Veyron L’Or blanc is a very special car. Not only there is only one in the world, not only it is one of the fastest convertibles in the world (Bugatti Veyron VITESSE is now #1), but the materials used to build it are quite incredible themselves: lots of porcelain has been used, in the rims, in the interior. Very very elegant and classy stuff. This is an absolutely incredible machine. The price is apparenlty 1,65 million euros. But I really think it’s much more expensive….

Ever seen a green Bugatti Veyron?

Have you ever seen a green Bugatti Veyron?
Well, you soon will.

The president of Turkmenistan (Gurbanguli Berdymukhamedov) attended the country’s biggest automobile race in none other than his green Bugatti Veyron, one of the most expensive and fastest cars in the world. The man was supposed to only open the event and bless the race (official stuff in other words), but ended up racing! Needless to say, he won the race, but this time driving a Volkicar (turkish car).

Anyways. I don’t know about you, but I had never heard or seen this Bugatti Veyron before, so it’s rather an awesome thing to see it. It’s apple green with some shades of black here and there, and has some sort of racing stripe in the front. Pretty cool.

Carlsson C25 Royale in Paris

I finally spotted this extremely rare Carlsson C25 Royal in Paris. 25 of them were supposed to be built, but how many? No one can really tell, but less than 5 I guess. Therefore, this is an extremely rare sighting! What makes it even rarer is that this example uses a carbon fibre roof construction to reduce weight even further! It is a one-off.

The Carlsson C25 uses the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG as a base. To this, Carlsson add a variety of modifications to take the six liter V12 Biturbo engine all the way to peak power outputs of 753hp and 1150 Newton meters. 0 to 100km/h (62mph) is achieved in only 3.7 seconds and top speed is an impressive maximum speed of 352km/h (219mph). It cost around 430,000 euros and we are assuming that Carlsson still offers the package today. I must admit the sound was a little disappointing, but according to GTspirit.com, this was a conscious choice made by the German tuner to make the car more civilised and capable of day-to-day use.

Lexus LFA Nurburgring pack delivered!

 

A black Lexus LFA has been delivered to its owner in Bahrain. Indeed, TeamSpeed.com member brt996tt just received his. It’s black with  red alcantara interior. But it’s not any Lexus LFA, it’s the LFA Nurburgring edition. The Nurburgring pack adds a huge wing to the car, and a few horse power. Rather exciting. I find it pretty cool in black. Also, would you take a look at that incredible garage? Filled with some interesting stuff (that orange Nissan GTR seems amazing).

Eric Clapton’s custom Ferrari (SP12 EPC)

Eric Clapton’s custom-made Ferrari

 

 

It is not a secret that Eric Clapton loves cars, especially Ferrari. About two years ago, the famous british guitarist ordered a one-off Ferrari 458 Italia fitted with a V12 engine, instead of the stock V8.  And this is what you get, the car unveiled at the Ferrari dealership in London (HR Owen):

This one-off car car is named the SP12 EPC, according to GTspirit, it means Special Program 12 (for V12 tribute) and Eric Patrick Clapton (EPC), the full name of the artist. The price tag of the conversion was 3 million pounds. I personally find the price incredibly high for what it is, but then again, if Mr.Clapton can afford it and got what he was expecting, why would he deprive himself of such a pleasure? This is the price of being exclusive and owning something nobody else on Earth has. As far as my opinion goes, I’m honestly not a fan of the final result. It feels like too many cars were mixed together: Enzo frontlights, 458 exhaust, 599 tail-lights, 512BBi parts… it’s just some sort of badly drawn pot-pourri. I’m not a fan. But it is rare and exclusive, therefore worth appreciating for the simple fact it exists!

One thing’s for certain, this is a very rare car, and after the P4/5, the 45 Superamerica, I think the road is open and we will start to see more and more one-offs considering they started taking orders a long time ago. Rather a good point, if you ask my opinion!

Samuel Eto’o driving his Bugatti Veyron!

Today, I saw cameroonian football player Samuel Eto’o driving his Bugatti Veyron in Paris. What a lovely sight! Not so long ago, football player Samuel Eto’o (used to play with Barcelona, Inter Milan) signed at Anzhi Makhachkala, a russian football club. He’s one of the best african football players of all time. For his services, the russian club have to pay 23,3 million euros per year.

I personnally always loved the guy, always smiling. And he also has an incredible and rather tasteful supercar collection (Gemballa Mirage GT, Stallone Mansory…). Now THAT’s the kind of football player I like even more.

Green Lamborghini Miura SV

The Miura is an iconic car born in Lamborghini’s factories from 1966 to 1973, and it nowadays is an incredible piece of art among car collectors and connoisseurs. This car attended march Cars & Coffee in Paris, which proved to be incredible (it was a special Lamborghini edition)! Next one? Special english cars!

As far as this particular model is concerned, in the beginning, this magnificent green Lamborghini Miura was one out of 400 Miura P400. After undergoing restoration, it was modified into a Miura SV (only 150 units). Although there has been some debate as to know wether or not it really is an SV (considering no details go this way, no SV sign under the MIURA badge behind the car): it’s not a real one, guys! But still, it’s a MIURA!! :D

Dodgeball rally in Paris !

The dodgeball winter rally arrived in Paris on march 1st, after leaving London the same day. Not many cars were present upon the arrival in Paris. A Rolls Royce Drophead as well as a Lamborghini Murciélago with huge spoiler, Bentley Continental GT and even a Bugatti Veyron didn’t make it to the french capital, for multiple reasons (broke down, other obligations etc).
Nevertheless, it was a pretty cool meet and some cars made it!

A black Audi R8 GT, a black McLaren MP4-12C, a black Ferrari 430… don’t worry, it’s not all black! Youtuber and friend Shmee150 was also part of the rally with his beautiful Aston Martin V8 Vantage roadster, as well as a red Ferrari 430 spider and an orange with black stripe Ford GT 720 Heritage by Avro Motorcars. The latter is by far the star of the rally, with only 10 units worldwide. The 720 horse power beast sadly didn’t make it to the next day.
